Sephora Daily Brush Cleaner (love!)

June 2nd, 2011 by lila

I used to use baby shampoo to clean my makeup brushes, now I use this. My brushes are cleaner and loosing less bristles!

The scent is subtle and doesn’t last long. It dries super fast and adds only a minute to my morning routine.

The daily brush cleaner won’t remove several days worth of make-up as it is designed to be used after every application and only remove “light traces.” If you remember to use it regularly, your brushes will thank you!

Clairsonic Mia (love!)

With all this make-up application, you’d think I’d have found a great removal system. You’re right!

I’m in LOVE with the Clarisonic Mia. I got one a few months ago and have been using it regularly with my favorite cleansers. It’s evened out my skin tone and I no longer have those annoying white bumps.

Truly, I’ve seen less breakouts and a better glow.

While the Mia is less pricy than the full size Clarisonic, it’s no less powerful.

Houston We Have a Purple (like)

May 23rd, 2011 by lila

This only get a like because it is so sheer! It took three coats to not be able to see the lunula anymore!

Maybe it was the three coats, but the drying time also seemed much longer than other OPI products.

However, I do like the color. It’s a great purple that can easily be worn by anyone. It looks good on tan and not-so-tan hands.

CAMP Cosmetics Blush (love!)

May 19th, 2011 by lila

I’ve only recently delved into the world of blush. Before this product, I only used cream or stick blush. I was worried I’d look too clownish with powder blush.

What on earth was I worried about? This exquisite blush by CAMP Cosmetics might look bright in the container and on the brush, but it’s subtle and adds just the right amount of glow.

Lush Honey Bee Bath Bomb

May 16th, 2011 by lila

As I’ve previously mentioned, I love baths. While the Avobath bomb is my absolute favorite, this one comes in a close second.

Even though it’s made with mud. Actually, Rhassoul, a clay from the Atlas Mountains. It doesn’t smell like mud or make the water feel like mud.

This “mud” deeply cleanses the skin, according to the Lush website and smells like caramel and honey. Like bathing in honey, without the stickiness!

It’s soothing, relaxing and leaves your skin super soft.

Cover Girl natureluxe silk foundation

May 12th, 2011 by lila

A little goes a long way with this product! It’s super easy to use and blend with a good foundation brush.

It covers nicely without being too thick. Perfect for summer! It even covered the redness in my cheeks without concealer.

At first, I thought the scent from the natural ingredients would be over powering, but it fades quickly.

Hint, the colors are light. I’m usually the lightest, but in this range, I’m actually a Flax.

Lush Avobath Bomb (love!)

May 9th, 2011 by lila

Winter, summer, fall or spring this is my second favorite Lush Bath bomb. The lemongrass is fragrant, yet subtle and it moisturizes my always parched skin. The bomb dissolves quickly leaving behind light green water.

According to the Lush website, “It’s our fruitiest Bomb with fresh avocados mixed in to soften you up. This bright green bomb turns the water into a shimmering green haze. As you inhale the invigorating fragrance, you’ll find yourself ready to take on the world.”

Ultra Pure Cosmetics Exotic Eye and Face Make-up Remover

May 2nd, 2011 by lila

This remover smells amazing compared to others. Exotic Eye and Face Make-up Remover uses exotic flower extracts such as rose, orchid, violet leaf, azulene, and hibiscus which makes it smell heavenly.

It’s removal power is adequate. It does take a few swipes to remove mascara and foundation, but it isn’t greasy or overly drying like others.

The directions do recommend using this before your regular cleansing routine, so you can’t get away with just wiping all your make up off and not washing your face.

Ultra Pure Cosmetics The Obsession Collection for Eyes (like)

April 28th, 2011 by lila

I love eyeshadow. I love sparkly eye shadow and matte shadow and every eye shadow in between. I so wanted to love this collection. The colors are vibrant and rich in the container.

Unfortunately, they are too sheer and too glittery for every day wear.

Thinking I was using the product incorrectly, I checked out the Ultra Pure website for instructions. Turns out, I was using it right. I tried it wet and dry and it all ended up just too sheer for my liking.

But if sheer is what you are going for, then you’ll love it!

The lipsticks, for example, boast a high level of essential fatty acids that helps lips hold water, giving them a natural plumpness. (Organic Spa Magazine likened Marshall to a “green chemist” calling her lush lipsticks a “boon for lips.”) Glosses glide on, yet stays put, while rich shadow hues apply effortlessly without feathering, flaking or fading.

Ultra Pure Cosmetics The Obsession Collection for Lips (love!)

I’m not usually a lip gloss gal. I typically find them sticky and lacking in color, especially natural cosmetic brands.

Ultra Pure Cosmetics changed my mind. All of the colors look amazing. Just the right amount of color and sheerness, depending on the color you choose. They last longer than other lip glosses. It moisturizes very well, isn’t tacky and my hair doesn’t stick to my lips.
