Sephora Lash Plumper Mascara (love!)

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

Last week, I told you I don’t wear mascara every day. And the last mascara I was in love with was Maybelline’s Lash Stiletto, but I’ve found a mascara I love even more.

I wore this alone (no liner, no eyeshadow) to work the other day because I was in a rush. I didn’t think anything about it until a co-worker complimented me by saying my lashes looked extra long. I was ecstatic!

Some mascaras you have to coat and coat your lashes. With Sephora’s Lash Plumper, three swipes and a double check and I’m done. It’s so easy.

According tho the Sephora website, this volumizing mascara will, “Fatten your flutter with this lash-plumping formula. The larger brush, with slightly tapered edges, reaches from root to tip, for truly bat-worthy volume and glamour. ”

I might actually start wearing mascara every day.

Eye Lash Curler (love!)

Friday, April 30th, 2010

I can’t live without my eye lash curler. I’m not brand loyal here, I’ll buy the cheap one at the drug store if I need to. Right now, I’m using the about $6 Maybeline one I got at Walgreens.

Even if I don’t wear mascara (shock! I know). I still curl my lashes. Every day. It opens my eyes. It makes me look like I got a ton of sleep, when the reality is, I didn’t.

Taking the two minutes to curl your lashes in the morning is worth it. You won’t regret it!

Maybelline Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Mascara (love!)

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Now that I’ve dished about the mascara I hate, let me tell you a little bit about the one I am currently using daily.

I am not blessed with above average lashes. They are average length, average thickness, average color. Just average. This mascara makes them look above average.

I use an eyelash curler first and then apply. My lashes look slightly longer, slightly thicker and blacker. But safe enough for the office.

Some reviews have talked about the smell associated with this mascara and maybe my sense are dulled because it goes on my eyelashes and not my nose, but I can’t smell it (and smells are HUGE in my life, headache central!).

Are there better mascaras out there? Probably. But for the amount I am spending on this one, I am happily satisfied for awhile.
