Bath and Body Works Stress Relief – Eucalyptus Spearmint (love!)

Monday, May 10th, 2010

This is a great compliment to the Kiss My Face Cold and Flu soak. It’s part of the Aromatherapy line, which I love. The scent goes on a bit strong, but fades quickly. It’s clean, fresh and just wonderful.

I find it relaxing and comforting. It is amazingly moisturizing. Even after a few hand washings. I tend to use it in the morning on my way out the door. It’s uplifting.

Kiss My Face Cold & Flu Shower and Bath Gel (love!)

While it’s not my beloved H20 Plus Mint Ice (cry!), it’s very close and a good replacement.

I discovered this when my mom sent me a care package in college. Several years later, I was wondering the Natural Isle of my local supermarket only to find it on the shelf! Excited I put in my cart.

After opening the cap at home, I was surrounded by a lovely scent of mint and Eucalyptus. I immediately felt a little clearer headed and definately more awake.

Yes, this product is supposed to be for cold and flu relief and it really does open your sinuses.

The website says: “While it doesn’t provide a cure, it sure does provide a dose of soothing comfort. And, you don’t need to have a cold to be able to enjoy this popular pick-me-up with time-tested botanicals.”

I couldn’t agree more.

The scent is strong at first, and stays that way in the shower. But it does dissapate and won’t compete with your favorite perfume or lotion.

Burt’s Bees Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil (love!)

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

Some beauties are addicted to lipstick, some to gloss, me to lip balm. I just love it.

I can’t love Burt’s Bees lip balm enough. All varieties: honey, mint. But this Pomegranate Oil is the only thing I use during the day in the winter/spring. It is soothing. It is refreshing and gosh darn it, it smells wonderful.

It adds a little shine, a little color. I get compliments all the time.

Aveda Blue Oil Balancing Concentrate (love!)

Monday, April 26th, 2010

When I need a quick pick me up and there’s no Starbucks in sight, I reach for my Aveda Blue Oil Balancing Concentrate. The peppermint is invigorating and relaxing at the same time.

When I feel a migraine coming on, I rub it on my temples and under my nose and while the migraine doesn’t go away, it isn’t as bad as it could be.

Aveda used to have a blue oil massage gel that was wonderful after workouts (quite like a grown up version of Icy Hot) and I miss it terribly, but this is easy to keep in my purse or my desk at work. The roller ball makes application easy. No drips. No mess. No fuss.

Aveda Lip Tint SPF 15 (love!)

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

I don’t just love this lipstick because I wore it on my wedding day. I also love it because it is universally flattering, comes in beautiful colors, goes on smooth and lasts a ridiculously long time. Not to mention, this lip tint has SPF 15 and a lovely minty flavor!

I personally love the Berry color. It’s a bit darker than the others, but not in an overwhelming way.

The tube lasts FOREVER. Seriously, I’ve had the same one for almost four years and I am just now getting down to the nub. Granted, I don’t wear it every single day, but I’m not trying to conserve it either.

Do yourself a favor and at least try this lipstick. You won’t regret it!
