My stylist has been using this product on my hair for years. When I finally ran out of the discontinued Aveda Hang Straight, I jumped at the chance to buy a bottle of Biosilk.
Whether I wear my hair straight or curly, I love using Biosilk in it. A very small amount (a little goes a long way!) combats frizziness, even in the rain. And let me tell you about the shine! I’ve actually distracted myself when the sun hits my hair after using this product.
I use about a dime-sized amount in my mostly damp hair before I blow dry and then straighten. The slickness helps relax my curls and the coating protects it from the heat of the tools I use.
I’ve heard some stylists even use this on their hands when their hands get super dry from all that hair washing. I haven’t tried that myself, but I can’t imagine it wouldn’t work.
The scent is amazing, but subtle on my hair.

This is the only hair spray I use. I use it when I straighten my hair, I use it when I leave it curly and when I pull it up.
Aveda Air Control Hair Spray tames fly-aways and sets my style without making it sticky, even mid-run. It washes out easily and doesn’t leave behind any residue.
I get more compliments on the scent of this hair spray than I do several perfumes I wear regularly. While some might call it strong and in the summer it is a bit stronger than in the winter, I find it to be refreshing and great smelling.
I keep a travel size version in my purse that I bought at the nearest Aveda salon. A little goes a long way and that bottle has lasted several months.

I’d forgotten how much I love this product until my manicure. A good Aveda manicure involves an extensive hand massage with this amazing stuff. It seeps into your skin and truly lives up to the promise of staying on through a few hand washings.
The product description reads: “Hydrating plant emollients, humectants, exfoliating fruit acids and anti-oxidants—including vitamins A and E—help diminish signs of aging and provide optimal relief. Increases moisture levels and elasticity in skin with continued use.” No lies here.
Hand Relief isn’t tacky or sticky and by the end of the manicure, my hands are soft and completely dry.
It is a bit pricey and you can’t buy the large “For Professional Use Only” tube, but I find when my hands are desperate, I love it.
Not to mention, Aveda is pretty great about offering this as a freebie on a regular basis. Just sign up for their mail and keep an eye out for the next post card.

As much as I love the Aveda Damage Remedy Restructuring Shampoo, I love the conditioner even more.
While the shampoo washed the chlorine and salt down the drain and the conditioner left my hair soft, manageble and strong.
The quinoa protein in this Aveda conditioner is to “repair and re-moisturize damaged hair—infusing it anew with healthy movement, silkiness and shine.”
Love it!

Hello Pretties! Did you miss me? I’ve been beach side enjoying the sunshine and ocean breezes. But now I’m back and can’t wait to share with you some of my newest finds.
In the mean time, I want to cry over yet another lost beauty favorite of mine. Victoria’s Secret Tranquil Breezes. I love this scent. It was clean and fresh. A quick Google search indicates it was full of melon and cucumber and a light floral. Wonderful.
You might be wondering why, I’m just now getting to this one. Well, my beautiful friends, it seems Victoria’s Secret heard some of our cries and came up with a similar scent!
As soon as our local store gets it in, I’ll test it and let you know what I think.
Stay Pretty!

I obviously don’t keep up on what is being discontinued and what isn’t. Cry! Imagine my surprise when I was in the Gap last week only to discover that one of my favorite, tried and true perfumes doesn’t exist anymore. And apparently hasn’t since last year. Shows how often I shop at Gap!
My first Gap Scent love was Dream. It was amazing. The I discovered Heaven and I was even more in love.
According to the Perfumed Court, Heaven was a “a crisp fresh floral with notes of Jasmine, tree moss, muguet, musk & white florals. A carefree floral that is quite simple & easy to wear.”
It was my first signature scent. I was in middle school. While I moved on and tried others, I always came back to Heaven. I will greatly miss it.

I won’t lie. I don’t just use this lotion on my feet. In the summer, when I’m dying of heat, I cave and use this tingly peppermint infused lotion on my legs and arms.
The cooling sensation alone is so worth it.
As for how well the Aveda Foot Relief cream moisturizes, let’s just say I’ve not had a cracked heel or serious dry skin since I started using it regularly. It must be the “exfoliating fruit acids and plant-derived oils like jojoba and castor” that keep my feet so soft.
The website states the lotion even helps keep feet stink free with lavender and rosemary oils.
So by using this product, you’ll get soft, cooled, stink free feet that are perfect for those cute sandals you’ve been ogling!

I keep the smaller version of this in my desk at work. Honestly, when I’m craving chocolate, I just lather this on my hands and the subtle chocolate scent is just enough to get me by.
It is amazingly moisturizing and stays on through multiple hand washings and Germ-X uses.
This lotion absorbs really quickly. I am back to typing away on my computer within a few minutes, much faster than other cocoa butters.

This product lives in my purse. I have it in the Rosemary Mint scent and I love it.
The website encourages you to “Create your own aromatic blends-spare as a haiku or moody and complex. Think of yourself as a cloud-seeder, infusing Aveda aroma-free skin and body formulas with drifts of pure, mind-balancing Aveda Key Element™ aromas.”
Your personal smell might be entirely different than mine. Which is why I highly recommend taking the scent journey at an Aveda store or salon.
I go through about a bottle a year. One spray goes a long way. It is very concentrated and lasts a long time. I love it and get compliments on the scent all the time.

While it’s not my beloved H20 Plus Mint Ice (cry!), it’s very close and a good replacement.
I discovered this when my mom sent me a care package in college. Several years later, I was wondering the Natural Isle of my local supermarket only to find it on the shelf! Excited I put in my cart.
After opening the cap at home, I was surrounded by a lovely scent of mint and Eucalyptus. I immediately felt a little clearer headed and definately more awake.
Yes, this product is supposed to be for cold and flu relief and it really does open your sinuses.
The website says: “While it doesn’t provide a cure, it sure does provide a dose of soothing comfort. And, you don’t need to have a cold to be able to enjoy this popular pick-me-up with time-tested botanicals.”
I couldn’t agree more.
The scent is strong at first, and stays that way in the shower. But it does dissapate and won’t compete with your favorite perfume or lotion.
