Stylist of the week: Constance

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

My name is Connie, and hair is my greatest passion! I graduated from the Aveda Institute of Beauty and Wellness, and worked as a stylist for two years before relocating to Capricio Salon and Spa. I thoroughly enjoy the cosmetic industry because of the freedom it gives me to be creative, artistic, and professional simultaneously. I have a strong drive to succeed, and I value the importance of continued education. I finished working as an associate to Munem Abukhamireh, the owner of Capricio Salon, and I am working to develop my own business as an individual stylist.

Now I am a Brazilian Blowout certified stylist at capricio Salon & Spa! the only professional smoothing treatment that improves the health of the hair.

I excelled in my schooling at the Aveda Institute, and continued my education long after graduation. I participated in the Master’s Training Program at Neroli, and my work was featured in fashion shows for local Milwaukee businesses including Ma Jolie, Moct, Soho 7, and Luci Boutique. I’ve trained under Vivienne MacKinder, David Adams, and Ginger Boyle—masterminds in the hair business. Similarly, I’ve taken advanced coloring and cutting classes in an attempt to cultivate my technique. Ultimately, I would love to work for magazines or alongside red carpet stylists to create show-stopping looks or open a salon in my name.

I wouldn’t trade my profession or career for anything in the world. I love the beauty industry, and I love translating that passion into fresh and creative cuts, colors, and styles. I enjoy working with all types of hair, especially all spectrums of blonde and short cuts. I am personable and always willing to go the “extra mile” to achieve client happiness. I also take pride in the fact that I handle constructive criticism well, and I guarantee my work. I understand that every guest has a story to tell, and I feel that hair should be a reflection of that individual’s story. What sets me apart from other stylists is that I will never tire of gaining experience and education…and I will give you the hairstyle you crave!

Capricio Staff of the Week: Emma

Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011

My name is Emma and I am a student at UW-Milwaukee. I joined the Capricio team when I moved to Milwaukee full time. I grew up in the Madison area and worked in salons throughout high school. I love the salon atmosphere and always try to give clients the attention they need so they have the best experience possible. I love the world of fashion and beauty and believe self-expression is an important aspect of being happy. There is so much creative freedom in the beauty industry and I love keeping up with new trends and gaining knowledge in the hair and skin care world.

Art, photography and nature are some of my biggest passions. I also love to snowboard and stay active. Milwaukee is an amazing city and has so many unique places, restaurants and venues to experience! I feel lucky to be a part of beauty industry in such a unique city!

My career at Capricio Salon and Spa, I hope you’ll join me for the ride. I look forward to working with you! Be sure to check out our facebook page for more events, specials and discounted services from Capricio Salon and Spa.

Capricio Salon & Spa, located on the eastside of Milwaukee, with our talented hair and skin technicians, will give you the time and energy necessary to provide you with a unique and stylish look that complements your personality and lifestyle. At Capricio Salon & Spa we are Redken Specialists, Redken color and design certified and Redken Platform Artists and Educators. We are also certified in Brazilian Blowouts, Hair Dreams Extensions, Runway/Photo shoot & editorial, Japanese & Keratin Relaxers and LSO (Laser Safety Officer). Additional services include: cut and color, keratin thermal relaxer, threading, facials and airbrush tanning.

Emma recommends you try our Airbrush Tanning Spa Service. Airbrush tanning is the newest trend for maintaining a glowing yet safe tan. It is a great alternative to sun exposure, tanning beds, and even self tanning lotions that you can buy in stores. Both sun exposure and tanning beds can be extremely harmful to the skin, causing development of burns, wrinkles, freckles, moles, and even forms of skin cancer. Self-applied self tanning lotions can be frustrating because they are hard to apply and often do not provide the most desirable results. Get a head start on your spring tan. We can schedule your free consultation, for a free gift!

Not sure what to choose for your hair or skincare needs, call Emma to make your appointment at 414-967-0100. For more information about Capricio visit:
