Resolve to be Glamorous

Yesterday’s post had me thinking of 2011 and what it will bring. It seemed only natural to make a list.

I know some women have “30 before 30” lists. That ship has sailed.

And don’t even hint at a “40 before 40” list. I will throw down.

Besides, I’m not a wait-‘til-the-end-of-a-decade kind of girl. When I want something, I want it yesterday. So for 2011, I’ve come up with a list of things I want to do constantly.   Because life is way too short to wait until next year to get everything you want.

Party.  Whether it’s big beauty bash, an intimate dinner party, an impromptu celebration for my kids and their friends, a girls’ night in or even a romantic dinner a deux, for me 2011 is going to be a year full of weekly celebrations.

What will you create this year?

Create.  I love to create but life gets too hectic and it’s just easier to opt for the tried and true instead of risking the unknown. This year, I’m pledging to pour my heart and soul into creating something new every week. And promising to enjoy the act of creating even when the results are less than perfect.

Perfect. And speaking of perfect, why not do everything better? Even the things I’m already really damned good at. Especially the things I don’t think I know how to do better. Perfect myself weekly, daily, constantly.  Once I’ve perfected something, I’ll no doubt discover that there’s even more room to grow.

Risk. Go out on a limb. Fail. Try again. Be risqué.  Obey Eleanor Roosevelt, “Do one thing every day that scares you.”

What will every second of every minute of 2011 bring you?
