Learning how to take glamorous pictures is a skill no woman should be without. After all, thanks to Facebook, your most embarrassing shots can easily be tagged and stored for the entire world to see.
Here are the top 4 ways to look pretty as a picture:
1) Posture: Stand up straight, shoulders up, suck in your belly. Never leave arms squashed against your sides — that can create a flabby look in photos – put hands on your hips to create a pretty gap between your arms and your body.
2) Smile: Touch your tongue to the back of your teeth to relax your smile in photos and don’t attempt a full blown toothy-grin. A gentle, relaxed smile with some teeth is generally the most flattering look.
3) Neck: This is where so many good women fail. Always, always, always extend your neck, and then stick your chin out and tuck it down the tiniest bit. It will feel awkward, but it will look great in pictures. You will be the one woman in the group who does not have a double chin.
4) Makeup: If you know, or suspect, your picture will be taken, opt for a foundation with great coverage (I like Dermablend Smooth Indulgence Foundation for serious coverage), a matte powder, nude or light-hued lips with a bit of shine and classic eye makeup. Be sure to re-apply powder as needed to cut down on shine. (And if you do get caught looking bad in a photo, just be thankful that you’re not famous.)
