My favorite looks from the Jason Wu for Target Collection

Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

Many pretties have been waiting for this  week to come. Finally Jason Wu for Target has arrived. If you were not one of the chosen few that got a sneek peak at the line up close  last week during the fabulous Skylight SohoNYC  fete  not to worry . I’ve got a the inside scoop .The event was filled with the likes of Blake Lively,  Jaime King , Mia Moretti and countless other It girls of the moment. Guests were treated to a performance by the artist Yelle and  Laduree macaroons ,keeping thing very French themed.

I can say  I’ve never been the biggest Jason Wu fan but I find this collection to be irresistibly girly and ladylike with just a touch of edge. Sometimes ,I’m actually in that mood. My  own style leans towards rocker,  hippy, vintage chic.

The collection was  inspired by the vision of an American girl in Paris, bringing Jason Wu’s signature aesthetic and attention to detail to Target’s guests at incredible prices.

Ranging in price from $19.99 to $59.99 for apparel and $19.99 to $49.99 for handbags and scarves, Jason Wu for Target will be available Feb. 5 through March 6, 2012 at most Target stores and on Target.com. Valentines Day :4 Mini beauty items to keep in your clutch

Monday, January 30th, 2012

Valentines Day is  just around the corner. Can you believe it?

If , like me you always have a big bag with you, try going light for one night.

I’ve found  4 mini beauty items that will keep you glammed up and leave lots of space in your clutch.

Keep germs at bay with pocket sized hand santizer. Let’s face  germs is everywhere and keeping hands clean on the go requires a little effort sometimes. Try something like Bath and Bodyworks Antibacterial PocketBac ($1.50). With three scents to choose from your  hands will smell just as good as they feel.

They’ll  never know your nail chipped  with mini polish in your bag. Keep a fast drying polish with you for on the go touch ups. Try Yves Roche ($3)  fast drying sheer  maxi colors. They are vitamin enriched and only $3 you can try all the beautiful spring shades guilt free.

Keep your lips in kissing form with lip balm . Chapped lips are not cute and look horrible with lipstick.Always prep  lips with something like Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm ($7) or Alaffia’s Baobob and Shea butter Balm (2.99)which  has an exfoliating effect to smooth lips and moisturize at the same time.

Then gloss up your lips  with a hi def -shine .Try  out a  mini gloss like Urban Decay  Pocket Rocket lip gloss($19 Sephora, Macys February 2012) which does the trick. These fun shades are a combo of hot lip color and hot guys.  They include the Hyaluronic spheres known to improve cellular function.  Hotties images Dustin and Rashid  cover the two new shades to available.  PocketRocket lip gloss is designed to keep your lips moist and wrinkle free while small enough to slip into your back packet undetected.

Discovering the World of Colors with Leibish &Co

Monday, January 30th, 2012

Donatella loves  yellow, Mariah likes hers in pink and rumor has it ,  so does Jennifer Lopez. But one thing is for sure diamonds are what every woman wants. Recently, I had an opportunity to attend the World of Colors launch with the insiders fancy  diamond expert  Leibish Polnauer President of Leibish &Co. What was confirmed was what I always wanted to hear. You can have just about any color diamond. Just imagine bling  in more than 250 colors! The imagination can run wild as long as your wallet can cover it .

On this night at the St Regis hotel in New York City  the amazing $1.6 million Pink Prosperity diamond was on display .The event was hosted by Kitten Lounge editor Kimmie Smith . She was adorned in a fabulous yellow, blended diamond bracelet and tried on the Prosperity diamond ring from the Leibish & Co collection as well.  Kimmie took a moment to  point out the Prosperity Diamond and an  pair amazing yellow diamond earrings and rings on display

If you’ve been putting the pressure on your mate  or thinking of an investment for yourself consider at colored diamond.  Any smart woman knows  diamonds are not just jewelry it’s an investment.

Show your love on Valentine’s day with heart friendly cookies

Belle Chevre 's new Valentine's Day cookie

Who doesn’t love cookies especially on Valentine’s Day.

They are second only to chocolate my other  favorite dessert.

Well this season  I’m  looking  out for some Beautylicous desserts for Valentines Day. I don’t particularly think of goat cheese as um  sexy? But some how the chefs at Belle Chevre  Cheese company have created cookies with artisan goat cheese frosting and made it so. I imagine it’s no different in taste than say cream cheese frosting on carrot cake. And that is some good stuff. Belle Chevere introduced a whole line of artisan goat cheese cookies just  in time for the holiday.

Here’s the skinny:

•    They are made with local, artisan ingredients (the chevre, eggs, and often the milk). •    Goat cheese and milk is a healthier alternative to cow’s milk products (less fat, calories; more protein and nutrients), i.e. cream cheese or milk-based frostings.

•    These cookies are one-of-a-kind, and you can feel good about them.

I can’t wait for a taste.  Try them on your sweetie! www.bellechevre.com

Laura Prepon having fun at the SOLSTICE Sunglass Boutique

The snow bunnies were out in full effect at Sundance.  I couldn’t be there but my spies have offered up a little bit of scoop.

One of my fav Jersey Girl actresses  Laura Prepon was spotted at the premier for her latest movie  with beautiful skin by Patkya . Later  on she was spotted at the Bertolli Meal Soup Chalet where guest were invited to lounge , chat and chew. Kudos to Bertolli! Soup is really the perfect food for this occassion. How come  no one thought of this partnership  before ?

She wasn’t eating soup but, Kate Bosworth (who is forever the surfer girl  to me) also stopped by. SOLSTICE Sunglasses was on hand to lend some style support to the stars.

SOLSTICE Sunglass Boutique  showcased its newest sunglass offerings from its most popular brands including Boss Black, Boss Orange, Carrera, Juicy Couture, kate spade new york, Marc Jacobs, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Tommy Hilfiger, among others, as well as conduct expert sunglass fittings for select VIPs during the festival.

Kate Bosworth, Lake Bell and Katie Aselton

Laura slipped on a pair to the new Tommy Hilfiger , Kate recommended Marc Jacobs shades to actress Lake Bell who ultimately decided on a YSL pair . Anthony Mackie also paid a visit to SOLSTICE Sunglass Boutique.  No matter what your taste looks like SOLSTICE had something for everyone.
