Birchbox Hosts beauties on both coasts during NYFW and The Emmys

BirchBox partnered with a bunch of brands to bring guests the pleasure of creating their own Birchbox. As you can imagine it was literally a candy store with jars full of twizzlers, gumballs, Swedish fish  and chocolates floating around the room.  Fashion editors, celebrities and tastemakers were treated to eyebrows shaping by Benefit Cosmetics, hair touch ups by Amika haircare, and mini manicures by Color Club. My personal Birchbox is packed away or I’d show you . Brands I’m excited about are Ojon, and rediscovering Nexxus hair care products.

Katherine McPhee was seen all over fashion week and stopped by Birchbox as well.

If you were one of the lucky ones in LA this past weekend Birchbox hosted celebrity filled Sample Stop. Birchbox’s  hosted several backstage lounges  during Art of Elysium events.Stars like David Arquette, Amy Smart, Rumer Willis and Jeremy Allen White attended the 4th Annual Pre Emmys GENISIS event while and Jamie -Lynn Siegler specifically stopped by Art of Elysium’s “Little Pieces of Heaven” Art Showcase auction that night. Jamie Lynn  Siegler and Amy Smart look pretty happy with their Birchbox goodies!

NYFW The look at Elie Tahari Spring 2013

On Monday, September 10th Elie Tahari showed his Spring 2013 collection right here in their huge time square area luxe showroom.
I’ve got the scoop on products used to the create this glamourous 50′s inspired look. It kind of reminds me of that new show Magic City. Elie Tahari brings back Esther Langham using Alterna on Beauty.com and  Lead artist Romy Soleimani using Jane Iredale on Beauty.com “Tahari’s spring 2013 collection was inspired by a 1950’s Palm Springs cocktail party—beautiful people at play with a modern woman’s twist”

Hair by Ester Langham for Beauty.com
· Apply Alterna Bamboo Volume Uplifting Root Blast all over the roots of damp hair, and pull Alterna Bamboo Volume Weightless Whipped Mousse through the hair strands to the tips.
· Blow dry with finger tips in an upward motion to create volume from the scalp.
· Divide hair into 1” sections, spray each section with Alterna Caviar Working Hairspray, and create waves using a wide barrel curling iron.

· Brush through waves using a wide tooth comb to break them up into a bouncy, natural look.
· Mist hair with Alterna Bamboo Style Boho Waves Tousled Texture Mist, it’s perfect for creating a natural, tousled look where flexible hold is of utmost importance. Comb through strands with fingers to add texture, and loop waves where necessary.

NYFW Niveas Kiss of style contest came to Fashion Week with Charlotte Ronson and Phillip Bloch

During fashion week in NY so many little pop up events go on behind the scenes. Nivea one of my favorite brands wants to get you involved in the scenes by asking you to vote. Whoa it’s not political it’s about your lip style .

Charlotte Ronson teamed up with NIVEA Lip Care to host the first-ever “Kiss of Style” contest where people were given the opporunity to design a cap on a NIVEA lip balm
· Fashion and lifestyle expert (and funny man!) Phillip Bloch held down the NIVEA fort backstage, spreading the latest news from NIVEA’s “Kiss of Style” cap design contest
· Charlotte and team of judges narrowed down the entries to the top ten finalist designs
o TAKE ACTION: Become a fan on NIVEA’s Facebook page to help vote for the winning design
o On September 20th, the winning design will be unveiled and will be sold at retail starting in 2013!

Opening Ceramony celebrates 10 years of style during NYFW

NYFW is an exciting time and this season is no different. Opening Ceremony , one  coolest shops in the city by best friends and business partners Carol Lim, Humberto Leon, Basically they have been immaculately dressing us for 10 years , wrote a book about it and her it is folks. Inside you’ll see Photogaphs by Terry Richardson ,the  forward by Chloe Sevigny and artwork from notable cool kids like designer Alexander Wang, Sally Singer,  M.I.A. and more.

Where to go for Fashion’s Night Out in NYC

Fashion’s Night Out on the town is here and personally I’m still not sure where the night will take me. Spontaneity is a good trait to have on nights like this. There are literally hundreds of events and private parties going on all around the city so the bet thing to do is put on the party dress and go.
