Workout with Athleta for the Summer Solstice in Times Square NYC

With Summer Solitice only hours away its a great time to get moving and get that extra glow .

June 20th, from 7:30am to 8:30pm, Athleta and the Times Square Alliance will host Solstice in Times Square, by offering four free yoga classes in celebration of the longest day of the year. With the forecast for Wednesday being sunny and hot, with temperatures rising over 90 degrees. Here’s the official Athleta hot weather workout alert, with tips on what to wear during hot weather yoga!

When you look good you feel good and here are some great pieces that will pump up your yoga. These four pieces are perfect for hot summer workouts, as they are constructed with breathable, sweat-wicking fabric to keep you cool, and even lend UPF 50+ sun protection.

Spin class, some detoxing and more

This weekend I took a spin class at SoulCylcle studios in Tribeca. I’m was excited but a little nervous. Why? I ‘ve been trying to figure that out . Probably because I’ve been kind of lazy the past two weeks . Winter brings out the hibernator in me. And spinning requires a no bullshit approach . I’m still using the Jillian Michaels Total Body Fit Kit just not as frequently as necessary . So, it’s time to go hard core. It’s going to hurt and I’m going to like it! (damn it ). That being said I needed gear up to begin training . This got me thinking. Why don’t I have workout wear I actually like that makes me feel well, sexy and strong? Time really does a number on fitness attire that’s for sure.

I decided it was time check out new workout wear to keep me inspired . If I’m going to do this detox and exercise routine , why not look good doing it ? I started with giving up bread , it’s been 3 days now.
