The first day of the New York Chocolate show is a chocoholics dream. If you happen to be in town this weekend it’s a must.
I’ve already overdosed on some delectable treats but that was yesterday and I’m craving another Salt of the Earth cookie. I suggest all varieties but especially salted double chocolate cookies , que rico!
There are samples among samples of Hot chocolate from specialist like Mariebelle chocolatiers, vegan chocolates that look like works of art by Oliver Kita ,who has Brooklynites flocking over the bridge to pick up his special Cognac chocolates, even chocolate wines like The Chocolate Wine Shop
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to have a coco inspired breakfast along with many other media people and Chef Zac Young ,Top pastry chef and formerly of Top Chef TV. He and his good friend bacon fat ( I know !) created an amazing dessert /breakfast Chocolate bacon hazelnut pecan sticky buns oh my! Since bacon is not something it eat this was quite astonishing but I did have little bacon less taste to satisfy my curiosity.
