As big windows phone user and lover of technology products when I was contacted to co-host the first We Are Juxt NYC presentation it was pretty exciting! As a beauty and lifestyle blogger this was amazing opportunity to collaborate on my favorite worlds of tech, fashion, and art. We Are Juxt is a Seattle based collective of that promotes and supports mobile art and technology. They are a mobile arts community with artists from all over the country. Held at Artifact gallery on Orchard Street , the exhibit showcased a series of photography captured on Nokia Lumia devices. If you are not familiar with the sleek Nokia Lumia1020 device it is the only smartphone camera using an 41MP camera ,xenon flash and incredible zoom capabilities. The video quality is comparable to dare I say film! It really delivers and is simply the best photo capabilities and quality. Mobile photography has become so important in visual art that it was just a matter of time before an event like this becomes the norm in showcasing a photographers work. The photos at the We Are Juxt exhibit looked crystal clear blown up to full size on the wall. The resolution was flawless. This was also a chance to take a peek at the latest Microsoft Windows products.
Guest were delighted to see what just how far the imagination could go using the Nokia Lumia 1020 to create mobile photography. Nokia Lumia brings new meaning to #ReadyWhenYouAre tag line for #Windowsphone users.
I met with Bridgette and discovered she is from New York but moved to Seattle a few years ago. Windows brought her back for the exhibit. She was thrilled to be a part of the project. Work by Josh St. Germain, Richard Koci Hernandez, Mike Hill , Joel Aversing, Matt Coach, Brad Puet (see above) Andre Hermann, and Jean Brice Lemal were on display.
Some bloggers really got into the spirit and began taking photos with their own Nokia Lumia devices as seen here with Glasgow editor of MyLifeOnandOffTheGuestList.com above
I shot this selfie on the Nokia Lumia 1020 with@Citychickstyle . Not bad right ? Guest were encouraged to start tweeting and tagging with #Readywhenyouare and #Windows. This phone is really ready for whatever with settings for each type of lighting you might come across.
The best part of this event was the fact that guests were able see the tools and the possibilities they could create. Above is the new Nokia Lumia 2520 . Its a bit lighter in weight than the Surface RT and comes with 64GB of expandable memory. It has a crystal clear display even in sunlight. You can’t beat this for the portable office and the red color makes it fashionable.
The Nokia Lumia Icon is the latest phone to be introduced. What I love about it is it has four built in microphones. Great for bloggers and journalist to record interviews in a less than ideal situations. It charges wirelessly via the Qi wireless charging standard. No more plugs !
So if you are a novice or even professional photographer a Nokia Windows phone may be your best best investment for on the go shots with for high quality resolution. I know first hand the Nokia 1020 and Nokia 1520 6′ inch phablet have been instrumental in capturing quality video and photos for blogging and sharing images. Find out more at windowsphone .
