Chanel is really giving us the goods lately! Just a couple weeks before introducing some pretty, poppy, beautiful, brights for summer 2010 to
Chanel counters, (which I absolutely love!!!! I mean these colors scream summer and make me scream,”Gimme that Aquamarine!”)

We get a peek at the Noir et Or Paris Shanghai Collection! A super glamorous collection inspired by the Orient. This collection is a sophisticated study of light and dark that juxtaposes shiny and matte finishes, which is meant to convey Coco Chanel’s perception of Shanghai in the 1930′s & 40′s.

Included in the collection are some stellar pieces. Le Vernis Nail Color in Black Velvet, a matte black polish that’ll make a great tip for reverse French manicures (shown above), Le Vernis Nail Colour in Gold Lame, a satiny gold, and Ligne et Ombre de Chanel in Jet-Gold will be stand-out in the spring sun along with an eye compact containing a matte black eye liner and sparkling gold shadow.
The summer 2010 pop bright beauty is available in late April, but be warned these colors will go fast so if you must have one call your local Chanel counter today and ask to put your favorite on hold. The waitlist for The Noir Et Or Paris-Shanghai Collection starts Wednesday and is available only at Chanel.com, Chanel Boutiques and Chanel Makeup Studios.

Tokyo Milk
By
Margot Elena
(Objects to Desire)
While browsing the Third Ward last week I discovered the sweetest perfume, Tokyo Milk. This eccentric line of Eau de Parfum spray and Petit Parfum Solide’s had me instantly intrigued. Each perfume has a unique vintage picture on the box, which is detailed in hand painted glitter.

Petit Parfum Solide
The interest of this line does not stop there, Tokyo milk has a great way with names from Honey and The Moon to I Made You A Mixtape I was singing a Song in D Minor over Scarlett, a floral scented Petit Parfum Solide with just a hint of oriental spices, Divine!

Glittery rose detailSophisticated fun!
Each Scent has a name and a number, but this isn’t the military! Tokyo Milk is fun, interesting, and witty! Every girls dream? Maybe! Try I Want Candy or Le Petit for your next fragrance or gift it to a friend.

Sophisticated Fun!
These fragrances are sure to please, but once you buy it will you actually be able to give it away?

Recently, I received the cutest little Cheek Stamp from Lorac. The product design is really functional with the applicator being the top and the blush being the bottom. I love the concept! My Cheeky cheek stamp came in Hibiscus, a deep shimmery rose, I think it’s more like a bright pink, but either way it is great for spring! I must say it gets a little colorful when applying, since this is a sponge stamp it literally stamps the color onto your cheeks. Personally, I apply my blush with a big fluffy brush to soften the color so this applicator is not my fav’. I do love the color and appreciate the design, but in the future I would stick to a blush with a brush that I have a little more control over!

Want to give this a try? Now is the time! This cheek stamp is usually $22 and is on sale now for $4.99!

I had the pleasure of attending a fabulous after work event at the ultra swank Whiskey Bar, recently voted best place to “see and be seen”. The lovely ladies from Glow Salon and Spa extended the invite for Martini’s and Mani’s. I think I just blacked out… have these beauty vixen’s been reading my diary? I entered Whiskey Bar, which is an atmosphere of luxury and relaxation located in the heart of Milwaukee’s hottest evening scene, Cathedral Square. I signed up for my Mani’ and then hit the bar. However, these beauty babes don’t just imbibe on any old Martini they order their signature “Glowtini”. This delicious concoction contains dragon fruit and a secret ingredient, which I believe gives you glowing skin ’cause all of these ladies were flawless!

"Glowtini"
The evening was buzzing with friends, co-workers, and savvy singles laughing and relaxing. Many of the women I spoke with thought this was a fabulous idea and were very excited to attend. Another group of woman said they would definitely go to Glow in the future, since this was such a relaxing and fun event and I couldn’t agree more, ladies!

We are excited to get our digits done!
After a very short wait I sat down with Rachel a very fashionable, friendly, and fabulous Glow girl and picked out my OPI color, Miami Beet. Rachel was very sweet and did a fabulous job on my nails I would absolutely recommend her for future services.

Love the shine

Beautiful nails for free! I die!
I truly felt pampered and enjoyed the event immensly! Thank you to Glow Salon & Spa and The Whiskey Bar for providing the ladies of Milwaukee a fantastic event! I hope to attend more in the future and until then thank you for the fabulous evening!

I had two!

Totally Cheap Tuesday
March! So good to see you again! March marks the first month of spring, which got me thinking…. I need a tan. However, I said, “Good-bye” to tanning beds a long time ago and have opted instead to find products that accentuate my natural beauty. This is one of my fav’s and I think you will love it too!
JK Jemma Kidd Lip ID Color-Adapt Lip Gloss

This self adjusting gloss morphs to flatter your skin type and does a fab’ job mimicking some of the other more expensive types of self-adjusting gloss like Smashbox O-GLOSS and Duwop’s Private Red. Jemma Kidd is a little more expensive at $20 than our usual Totally Cheap Tuesday loot so in order to give our diva’s more bang for their buck here is an insider secret..this gloss can double as a cheek stain. Bang!
