Totally Cheap Tuesday!!

This Tuesday we are giving you a Passport to Paradise! Well sort of… L’Oreal has a beautiful “Passport to Paradise” collection out for Summer 2010 and it is a must!  The collection is complete with bronzers, lip gloss, &  eye shadow, but I have my eye on the nail polish! Three new limited edition nail colors were introduced with this collection and they are so cute!

High Tide, Ocean Breeze, & Waters Edge

High Tide, a smokey blue with a hint of shimmer, is fresh and understated, Ocean Breeze, a bright blue, is perfect for toes or a night on the town, and Waters Edge, a bright aquamarine, is electric and sure to stand out against tan skin! I was instantly drawn to the colors in this collection they are great for summer and just looking at them invoked the “hot summer day” feeling. L’Oreal’s Passport to Paradise collection is a great way to look hot without burning your savings!

A Classic Trend

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Pedicures are a must in the spring. Dragging the dogs out after a long winter and shoving them into sandals, pre-pedicure, is positively appalling! In Light of this I scheduled my spring cleaning appointment with a new addition to the Milwaukee beauty scene, Urban Trends SalonSpa, and let me just say, “WELCOME HOME!”  Nestled downtown this mid-sized salon offers all of the amazing amenities you might find at a larger corporate salon including, bottled water, candy, and a fully stocked bathroom that is beyond beautiful!

However, when it comes down to it Tootsie’s can’t save a salon.  Treatments, technique, staff, and pricing are really the cornerstone’s to success and ***Spoiler alert**** Urban Trends Salonspa is stacked!  Offering a variety of treatments in hair design, skincare, waxing, massage, make-up, and nails; Urban has everything you need to look your best without breaking your bank

Amy, my Sole Savior, chiseled, chipped, soaked, and scrubbed until my toes were pampered, painted, and perfectly Dim Sum Plum’ed! The Classic Pedicure is absolutely divine and one of my new “must have’s”! I skipped walking and took cloud 9 home after I realized the best pedicure I have ever had was also the cheapest, and you can’t beat that with an orange stick! Find out more about our beautiful new neighbor here!

***** Limited Time: $20 off your first service No restrictions!!

Special Thank you to Amy and Trent! XOXOX

Chanel You Shouldn’t Have!

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010
Chanel is really giving us the goods lately! Just a couple weeks before introducing some pretty, poppy, beautiful, brights for summer 2010 to Chanel counters, (which I absolutely love!!!! I mean these colors scream summer and make me scream,”Gimme that Aquamarine!”)

We get a peek at the Noir et Or Paris Shanghai Collection! A super glamorous collection inspired by the Orient. This collection is a sophisticated study of light and dark that juxtaposes shiny and matte finishes, which is meant to convey Coco Chanel’s perception of Shanghai in the 1930′s & 40′s.

Included in the collection are some stellar pieces. Le Vernis Nail Color in Black Velvet, a matte black polish that’ll make a great tip for reverse French manicures (shown above), Le Vernis Nail Colour in Gold Lame, a satiny gold, and Ligne et Ombre de Chanel in Jet-Gold will be stand-out in the spring sun along with an eye compact containing a matte black eye liner and sparkling gold shadow.

The summer 2010 pop bright beauty is available in late April, but be warned these colors will go fast so if you must have one call your local Chanel counter today and ask to put your favorite on hold. The waitlist for The Noir Et Or Paris-Shanghai Collection starts Wednesday and is available only at Chanel.com, Chanel Boutiques and Chanel Makeup Studios.

Sula for Saturdays!

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

If you are nail color chameleon like me, Sula is a must! My 9-5 requires that I wear the predictable professional polish, but sometimes I like to mix it up with a bright burst for the weekend or a fresh coat for an after work rendezvous. Unfortunately, this is reality and painting my nails four times a week is just not going to happen, well at least not until I discovered Sula! Sula Nail color is not your normal polish it is a paint and peel nail color, which means when you are ready to change the color you just peel it off. No nail polish remover is required. Although it is not intended for long wear it can transformed by using Sula base and top coat, but that really defeats the purpose of why I am loving it right now!

Sula is affordable, fun, and feasible! Choose from a variety of colors, or buy a pre-picked trios! For more information and FAQ’s go to Sula Faq’s !
