What would I do with out my delightful digits from OPI? Probably, walk the plank! Luckily, I will never have to find out ’cause they keep pumping out polish faster than I can say, “Paraffin please!” This time we are getting down and dirty I mean pretty and pastelly??? Blimey! Whatev’s it’s almost spring and whether it makes sense or not these Pirates are in pastel. OPI has released their Summer 2011 collection named “Ahoy Me Hearties” (A tie in to the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie) and the always cheeky names are, Skull and Glossbones, Steady as She Rose, Sparrow Me the Drama, Planks A lot, Stranger Tides, and Mermaids Tears. The entire collection is literally topped off with Silver Shatter, which means shatter is here to stay… at least until Summer.

( from top to bottom-Right side)Skull and Glossbones: grungy Grey-green. Steady As She Rose: Pink cream, very natural. Sparrow me The Drama: bright creme pink. Planks A Lot: Lilac. Strange Tides: murky army green. Mermaids Tears: mint creme. The Left side is the aforementioned + Silver Shatter!
Just like the majority of OPI’s collections I am sure this one will be loved by all, and come May 2011 women everywhere will be begging for this booty!! My guess is the majority favorite will be Sparrow Me the Drama, but the cult favorite will be Strange Tides!

However, unless you live in one of these places Prep might not work, but what about the solid principle Prep was founded on, which is ”Bring them beauty”? Well, my Diva’s consider it broughten! It is my pleasure to introduce ShopPrep.com (golf claps) So stop reading here and start shopping there for uber fab brands like Julie Hewett Los Angeles, BECCA, DuWop,Stila, Sula, and many more. Totally Cheap Tuesday!!
This Tuesday we are giving you a Passport to Paradise! Well sort of… L’Oreal has a beautiful “Passport to Paradise” collection out for Summer 2010 and it is a must! The collection is complete with bronzers, lip gloss, & eye shadow, but I have my eye on the nail polish! Three new limited edition nail colors were introduced with this collection and they are so cute!

High Tide, Ocean Breeze, & Waters Edge
High Tide, a smokey blue with a hint of shimmer, is fresh and understated, Ocean Breeze, a bright blue, is perfect for toes or a night on the town, and Waters Edge, a bright aquamarine, is electric and sure to stand out against tan skin! I was instantly drawn to the colors in this collection they are great for summer and just looking at them invoked the “hot summer day” feeling. L’Oreal’s Passport to Paradise collection is a great way to look hot without burning your savings!

Pedicures are a must in the spring. Dragging the dogs out after a long winter and shoving them into sandals, pre-pedicure, is positively appalling! In Light of this I scheduled my spring cleaning appointment with a new addition to the Milwaukee beauty scene, Urban Trends SalonSpa, and let me just say, “WELCOME HOME!” Nestled downtown this mid-sized salon offers all of the amazing amenities you might find at a larger corporate salon including, bottled water, candy, and a fully stocked bathroom that is beyond beautiful!

However, when it comes down to it Tootsie’s can’t save a salon. Treatments, technique, staff, and pricing are really the cornerstone’s to success and ***Spoiler alert**** Urban Trends Salonspa is stacked! Offering a variety of treatments in hair design, skincare, waxing, massage, make-up, and nails; Urban has everything you need to look your best without breaking your bank!

Amy, my Sole Savior, chiseled, chipped, soaked, and scrubbed until my toes were pampered, painted, and perfectly Dim Sum Plum’ed! The Classic Pedicure is absolutely divine and one of my new “must have’s”! I skipped walking and took cloud 9 home after I realized the best pedicure I have ever had was also the cheapest, and you can’t beat that with an orange stick! Find out more about our beautiful new neighbor here!

Without a doubt Summer 2010 is turning out to be a gala of glitter from Eyeliners to lipglosses, t-Shirts to toe nails get ready for glam! In all honesty, I totally love glitter. The flash, sparkle, and shine totally consumes me. Sometimes I wonder if in a past life I was a Magpie, but I don’t really like birds so I am hoping there is another explanation. However, back to the task at hand, literally! This summer a great way to go glitter without going overboard is a mani’ or pedi’ and you are going to love the choices!

Butter London have fabulous natural glitters. West End Wonderland (shown above) available May 2010, Henley Regatta a beautiful Teal, and Rosie Lee a poppy pink are a luxurious way to glitter. You can find this beautiful brand at the super luxurious NuboNau Boutique!

Zoya's Sparkle Collection is an affordable way to try out this trend. Pictured here in Gilda ( I love pink on my toes), Charla a beautiful blue, Ivanka glittery green, and mimi a pizazz of purple are the shades I am swooning over!

Chanel has a beautiful glitter gold color from the limited edition Paris Shanghai collection aptly named Illusion D Or. This uber lux shade will make a stunning statement that you are a girl of the now!

Chanel is really giving us the goods lately! Just a couple weeks before introducing some pretty, poppy, beautiful, brights for summer 2010 to
Chanel counters, (which I absolutely love!!!! I mean these colors scream summer and make me scream,”Gimme that Aquamarine!”)

We get a peek at the Noir et Or Paris Shanghai Collection! A super glamorous collection inspired by the Orient. This collection is a sophisticated study of light and dark that juxtaposes shiny and matte finishes, which is meant to convey Coco Chanel’s perception of Shanghai in the 1930′s & 40′s.

Included in the collection are some stellar pieces. Le Vernis Nail Color in Black Velvet, a matte black polish that’ll make a great tip for reverse French manicures (shown above), Le Vernis Nail Colour in Gold Lame, a satiny gold, and Ligne et Ombre de Chanel in Jet-Gold will be stand-out in the spring sun along with an eye compact containing a matte black eye liner and sparkling gold shadow.
The summer 2010 pop bright beauty is available in late April, but be warned these colors will go fast so if you must have one call your local Chanel counter today and ask to put your favorite on hold. The waitlist for The Noir Et Or Paris-Shanghai Collection starts Wednesday and is available only at Chanel.com, Chanel Boutiques and Chanel Makeup Studios.

I love the idea of natural make-up, but I must admit that sometimes I think it is boring. I like sparkles and flashy packages, make-up that is a little more bionic than organic! However, today is a brand new day. Today I discovered Nubonau, the natural and organic skincare boutique, and I will never look at organic products the same way again!
Nubonau carries an assortment of products for men, home, women, and baby. So I have picked out just a couple that really sent me reeling. Enjoy!

3 Free Lacquer in Rosie Lee by butter LONDON. Check out all of the glamorous colors! $14

Lip Trio Moisturizers SPF 8 By Juice Beauty. Includes a naturally clear and 2 divine mineral tints. $15

Folio Blackberry By La Bella Donna. This Quad of eye color is like a socialite, rich and dramatic! $55
Visit today and find the unrefined beauty in you!

Totally Cheap Tuesday
I love nail polish. It is a great way to change up my look, I love all the colors, and I can pretty much run the gamut, since even designer brands are usually never more than twenty-five dollars. Lately, I have been in nail Nirvana with all of the fab’ fun new products and now I have one more to add to the list!
Revlon Fruitful Temptations Nail Enamel
Revlon has created a divine color collection inspired by the shades and scents of summer… wait!? Scents? Yes, ladies SCENTS! Fruitful Temptation’s are scented when dry and last up to twenty four hours after use!

Passion Fruit, Sublime Strawberry, Raspberry Rapture, Pretty In Papaya, Not So Blue-Berry, & Mad About Mango. ( not shown - Coconut Crush & Mon Cherry)
These bottles of summer sell for around $4.99 each, but are only available for a limited time, so get some scent and save some cents!

If you are nail color chameleon like me, Sula is a must! My 9-5 requires that I wear the predictable professional polish, but sometimes I like to mix it up with a bright burst for the weekend or a fresh coat for an after work rendezvous. Unfortunately, this is reality and painting my nails four times a week is just not going to happen, well at least not until I discovered Sula! Sula Nail color is not your normal polish it is a paint and peel nail color, which means when you are ready to change the color you just peel it off. No nail polish remover is required. Although it is not intended for long wear it can transformed by using Sula base and top coat, but that really defeats the purpose of why I am loving it right now!

Sula is affordable, fun, and feasible! Choose from a variety of colors, or buy a pre-picked trios! For more information and FAQ’s go to Sula Faq’s !
