Pretty for the Party

December 27th, 2011 by katieschuppler

The new year is just around the corner and that means its time to dress up and dazzle for the new year! I’m loving the pops of bold colors during the dark and gloomy seasons and as always, I love me some glitz and sparkle. Rock a little feminine frilly cocktail piece byAlice + Olivia or Marc Jacobs. And be oh so sexy in a low-cut animal print mini by Imitation. Check out some of my top choices for party attire then go and grab your fave, cheers!

Katie

Trending: Orange Dream

August 3rd, 2011 by katieschuppler

Although most of us don’t want to think of  Summer coming to an end , it will in a short 2 months or so and we have to be fashionably prepared! I suggest slowly starting to buy your favorite Fall pieces little by little since the stores are already jam packed with cooler weather garb. One trend you need to work into your wardrobe is orange! Some might look at it as an ugly color, but if you think about it, no one actually looks bad in this hue (and no we aren’t talking about prisoner orange). You can however work this into your Summer attire as well with a blouse, shorts, or shoes. Here are a few of my favorite picks for this trend.

Stay Stylish,

Katie

July 4th, 2011 by katieschuppler

Unif is a boho, hipster, and vintage ispired brand that has recently caught my eye. From fun and creative t-shirts to florals and flowy tops there is something for a casual or dressy day! The “It” Shirt and the “Goldie” top are my two favorite pieces and I just about the “It” top from Singer22.com…. LOVE!! You can find Unif on a variety of different websites and local boutiques which carry different varieties of pieces from the designer. Take a look!

The heat is here so it’s time to dress the part! Trending right now is a little vacation to the islands in the way you dress, Tropical is one of this season’s biggest trends and there are endless ways you can rock it. Of course the most obvious way is with a swimsuit, but try a fun and floral headband or a playful wrap dress with a pair of your favorite open-toed shoes. Here are a few of my favorite warm weather picks!

Navajo Yes!

April 29th, 2011 by katieschuppler

This trend and I have a love/hate relationship with one another. The navajo trend is colorful and Native American inspired with a little Bohemian mixed in there. The printed flats that are at stores this season are not my thing, BUT I have recently fallen in love with a brand called All Saints that I stumbled upon while shopping at Bloomingdale’s with my sister and niece this week….I want almost every piece! The intricate beading details and designs are to die for and so fun for when the warm sunny weather finally hits Chicago! Take a look and get a little obsessed along with me.

Wear it Like a Man

April 14th, 2011 by katieschuppler

Yes, the Menswear trend is back in action and I love it! Blazers, vests, pinstripes, trousers, and maybe even a tie if your feeling on the fashion edge. In my opinion, one can never have too many blazers. One in each color would never get old and a nice crisp vest or boyfriend vest with a tank underneath is perfection. Take a look at a few of my chosen picks for the Spring season!

Color Blocked

March 30th, 2011 by katieschuppler

Get ready for bright, bold fashion this season! They come in every color and on any shirt, pant, accessory, or shoe you can find. It is completely acceptable to mix, match and take a few style risks by color blocking these various hues. The only rule you must stick to is to only choose 2 colors to mix. Multiple colors may be great for the runway, but don’t usually translate well in the real world. Here are some great pieces you should get your hands on, have fun with it!

Fresh & Floral

March 10th, 2011 by katieschuppler

Flowers are back in action for Spring and they are on everything from shorts, shoes and maxi dresses and we love it! Wheter it’s a flirty feminine, romanitc, or boho style you need to get your hands on them all.

This Free People halter maxi is perfect by itslef or with a cropped leather/pleather jacket over it.

Looking to try something new? Try a maxi-skirt, but keep in mind your body type and height on this trend.

This Charlotte Ronson v-neck dress

and this dress by Patterson J.Kincaid is totally my style, I have to have them for myself!

MINKPINK makes this neon floral blazer that reminds me a little of the fabulous Winter Kate cardigans so I say this is a must, for an event, or a night out it’s perfection.

Spring Break is just around the corner so it’s time to buy swimsuits and sexy cover-ups. Try this Marc by Marc Jacobs ruffle option

and slip this Tibi dress when your done basking in the sun!
