Uma Thurman, PRADA & IT&LY

Earlier this month and with a military escort, Uma Thurman wearing PRADA arrived at the 2012 Met Ball. Celebrity hairstylist David Babaii created her royal look.

To achieve Uma Thurman’s look for the evening, David used eco-friendly and cruelty free hair care from IT&LY HAIRFASHION’s Purity Design Line. www.italyhairfashion.com.

According to David, using the purest forms of botanicals is so important, especially for women who are pregnant since they deserve only the finest and safest products.

After shampooing and conditioning with IT&LY Pure Shampoo and Conditioner, he applied a small amount of IT&LY Pure Water Drops to naturally hydrate and add shine to the hair. Next, he applied IT&LY Pure Style Mousse Strong for hold and volume, paying more attention to the roots and ends.

After blow drying with a large round brush at the root area for lift, he switched to a large paddle brush to smooth the rest of the hair. When her hair was dry, David made a side part and set her hair with White Sands Velcro Strips (instead of conventional hot rollers), spraying each section with IT&LY Pure Texture. After makeup was applied, he removed the Velcro Strips and gently brushed her hair taking the sides and top to create a half-up/half-down look and securing with a decorative clip.

David Babaii offers his hair care tips for pregnant women:

-Use eco-friendly and cruelty free products on your hair and skin. I love the Purity Design Line because it is not only eco-friendly and cruelty free but hair stays cleaner longer and doesn’t have any product build-up.
-Take your prenatal vitamins during and even after the baby is born. Your body, skin and hair need extra nutrients
-Drink plenty of water. Hydration is important to maintain healthy shiny hair.
-Have headbands, scarves and great hair accessories on hand to create a quick hairstyle.
-Time saving beauty gadgets include bobby pins, coated rubber bands, White Sands Velcro Strips, IT&LY Pure Definition Hair Spray and a good flat iron. They can help you create a quick hairstyle.
-Deep condition your hair at least once a week. Pregnancy can sometimes cause the hair to be dry or lose its luster. Even after the baby is born, keep up your beauty routine while the baby is napping.
-To add shine, use a leave in treatment like IT&LY Pure Water Drops that will hydrate and shine at the same time.
-Get a trim every 4-6 weeks to keep your hairstyle looking fresh
