Tända Clear

Monday, December 13th, 2010

Actress Emma Stone plays Olive Pengerghast in the teen blockbuster Easy A but she does not play with her skin! She takes good skin care seriously and uses Tända Clear to get a flawless face for her on-screen performances. Each year 85% of teens experience pimples and acne breakouts. Developed to gently and effectively treat acne with LED light therapy, the Tända Clear device is a proven way for teens to get and keep clear complexions. You can even customize the device with limited-edition tändaSKINS™…now that’s cool! I am not a teen and mine isn’t customized, but I use it and continue to be amazed by the results!

This is quite interesting! It’s called TravelEase and it’s by Sprayology. It’s a Homeopathic Oral Spray that relieves jet lag. You spray it under the tongue at departure, after each two hours of flight and at landing. Then two sprays 3 times a day until you are acclimated back to your normal rhythm. Check out the packaging and the website for more information. It’s $22 for a 1.38oz bottle.

Everyone knows that I am a fan of Celebrity stylist, Teddy Charles (check out my Face Book page
pictures for a photo of me & Teddy from a hair show that we judged!)

Teddy used the new Remington T-Studio Pearl Ceramic Styling Wand to create the nautical-inspired “Yacht Knot” hair look that accompanied the breezy, ethereal runway collection for Luca Luca S/S 2011.

The Scent Genie

Monday, August 30th, 2010

Where has this little beauty gadget been all of my life? I love this! It’s The Scent Genie. Use it and you can take your favorite perfume with you wherever you go. This pocket size atomizer is available in 5 colors. It’s made from 98% recyclable materials. The Scent Genie is aircraft approved and very user friendly. It easily attaches to the spray mechanism of any perfume bottle and with soft repeatable presses it fills itself. I am happy to travel with my “fave” fragrances now instead of little sample sizes of any fragrance I can get my hands on.

The Best Makeup Primer!

Friday, August 20th, 2010

There has been so much hype about makeup primers recently that I got my hopes up that my skin would look fab! when using them. Disappointingly, that had not proven true until I learned that Reviva Labs had a new Makeup Primer and decided to give it a try. Love it! It has a gel consistency. As with most primers you can use it alone, under makeup or over moisturizer. I feel the smoothness and silkiness right after applying it and it doesn’t gunk up when I put makeup over it. The formula includes COQ10 as a protective antioxidant, Olive Oil, Vitamin D3 & Vitamin A.

I know that MEK Denim has an impeccable reputation for great fit & style…but…now, I really know! I have been wearing the KAZAN jeggings quite a bit these days and enjoy every moment in them! OK…I’ll be honest the guys in the office have enjoyed every moment of me in them too!

Leslie Tylers’s dating do’s & dont’s

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

Leslie Tyler is the founder of Leslie Tyler Cosmetics. She is a lifestyle expert & TV personality who has a natural knack for matchmaking! Leslie recently appeared on the Your Carolina morning show where she shared some dating Do’s and Dont’s.

Dating Dos:
1. Be attentive to your date. Listen and ask questions…not too many but enough to make him think he matters.
2. Stick with small talk initially and move on to deeper subjects if he leads to them.
3. Maintain eye contact. Be subtle and don’t stare!
4. Know what you want to do on the date. When he asks where would you like to go or what would you like to do next…have an answer.
5. Show a sense of humor. Laugh at his jokes and make a few of your own.
6. Allow him to act chivalrous. Show appreciation for those little things he does to be a gentleman.

Dating Don’ts:
1. Your date is not your shrink. Do not make the date a therapy session.
2. Do not talk about your ex.
3. Don’t be distracted. Shut off your cell phone or put it on vibrate.
4. Do not make any physical advances/have sex on the first date.
5. Do not have more than one alcoholic beverage.
6. Do not be concerned about ending the date early…if you are uncomfortable end it!
7. Do not wear too much foundation on your face. It will look like you are trying to hide something.
8. Do not show too much cleavage. That is a no no!

Look for Leslie Tyler Cosmetics coming to a store near you soon!
