Everyday Wear In Bordeaux

Thursday, October 25th, 2012

A fall color that never truly left, now has everyone’s eyes on it. Whether it’s on denim, blazers, dresses, shoes, or tights for that matter.
I strongly suggest you don’t go without it this year. The Bordeaux hue turns any form of dull into sassy
just by adding it to your everyday style as I did so myself, See below.

Any woman of any stature can don the Bordeaux pants. Opt for boot cut, or wide leg
if the skinnies are not for you.

The clothing you see is from my own closet and may or may not be found at stores now.
But, this is who & where I went shopping in case you’ll want to get this look:
Faux leather vest, G by Guess
Cream & black stripe tunic top, Cotton On
Teal Scarf – previous owned
Black faux leather scrunch boots – gift from a relative
Short trench jacket, Forever 21
Fun & Flirt Blk/Wht striped button down, TJMaxx
Bordeaux cotton denims, Target
Black gallery tote, Coach

One of the newest additions to my wardrobe of accessories is arriving in town.  I got a Gigi Hill Natalie Snow Leopard handbag last week and have not left home without it since.
I’m loving the quality of the canvas and microsuede handbag especially when it can easily be used as a fall fashion trend to accent a classic style.  No need to travel far to make a quick update to your wardrobe.
Gigi Hill Is Coming to Florida to Find Fashion’s Next Great Sales Stars  The Direct Sales Company Invites Tampa Bay and Surrounding Communities to Meet the Founders, Hear Their Inspirational Story
Gigi Hill, a designer line of fashionable and functional totes, handbags and accessories sold through home parties nationwide, is coming to the Renaissance Tampa International Plaza Hotel in Tampa Bay, Fla. on Wednesday, Oct. 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. The company will introduce its fabulous handbag and accessories collection to women interested in new career opportunities. Currently with more than 1,000 stylists – or saleswomen – nationwide, Gigi Hill is looking for innovative, smart and fabulous women to join its team.

Headlining the events are Gigi Hill founders Gabrielle   DeSantis-Cummings and Monica Hillman. The two women met on the sidelines of their daughters’ soccer field and became friends talking about how there had to be a better bag for a mom’s everyday life. They joined forces, designed their first bag, tested and perfected it with real women, and then started Gigi Hill in 2006. Those entrepreneurial roots went nationwide in 2009 and the company has continued to grow at astronomical rates ever since.     To meet the growing demand for the company’s dazzling bag and accessory line, Gigi Hill is hosting this Roadshow event so interested women and current stylists can learn more about the company and meet the founders themselves. At each event, DeSantis-Cummings and Hillman will show off the new Iconic Collection as well as some of their first drawings and designs. The fabulous women will also share their own inspirational story, talk about the boundless entrepreneur opportunities with Gigi Hill, and provide personal tips for success and work-life balance.

  • classic black chain strap clutch/handbag

Season of Style Fall Fashion 3 Girl Night Look

Friday, September 21st, 2012
Of course, if you know what I love to do then you know I love to play dress up and this past weekend was an opportunity to do just that.  While I stepped out to SPAFW events from Thursday to Saturday,
I decided I would also take that chance to show you what to wear to places such as fashion week shows, cocktail parties, girl night or out on the town.
I wore this fun outfit to a cocktail & fashion party.  Meanwhile, the dress is totally body conscious for petites like myself as much as it is for curvier figures.  I also felt relaxed, yet chic which is a good sign. In case you’re wondering, it means you’ve accomplished an A grade style.

Season of Style Fall Fashion 2

Friday, September 21st, 2012

The great part of summer tops is, with the weather in Florida we can count on them for layering. Prints like the top I’m wearing are passing through to the fall.

I’m not known to follow all fashion trends but I do keep up with the colors to help me make easier transitions which is one of the fashion tips I share with most of my lady clients in search of what’s affordable.

Summer look

In the Fall I’d use the same top to layer with a knit vest, the eggplant denim, and ankle booties for a more seasonal new look yet light and airy due to the state I live in.

The most traveled holiday of the year in America is back. Memorial Day weekend gives us an extra day off to shop, relax, and play. However, I decided to create and share sets with the idea of resort style in mind.

Though we may not all be at a resort but you can certainly dress and feel like you are.

High waist shorts in batik print for an extra dose of glam. Taking on the warm weather
in a very elegant form.

Summer sun rays have many looking for options to stay in the shade, especially on occasions like outdoor weddings, a special brunch, showers, and more.
Recently, I styled someone attending the Kentucky Derby, this fab young lady took the liberty of sending me photos of beautiful high fashion hats she spotted during the races.  I myself would totally dare to wear them.  How about you?
Noticeably blue flower accent; next to her a green cloche style. Both hats following spring trends.
Uber large bow grabs attention; Chic yet bold. Have to admire this hat!
Retro with polka-dot pattern, brings vintage up-to-date.
Styled by yours truly for the Kentucky Derby in her own hat creation.
If curious about what to wear with hats like the ones seen above.  Comment below!
