Glitz of TampaBay Fashion Week

Friday, September 24th, 2010

Evening 1 starts as a Model Behaviour Soiree for press/media at Audi in Clearwater. Being the presenter of Tampa Bay Fashion Week guests were nicely treated to an exhibit of some very haute automobiles. While guests enjoyed their hors d’oeuvres, some networked, socialized, and others spoke with the media such as Laura Hunt of Fashion Freeway who interviewed the featured designers of this years Tampa Bay Fashion Week whom are Nina Verklas, Pat McGhee, Terri Funaro, Helen Guerro, Trineice Cagua, and Kimberly Hendrix. Kimberly was one of the audition finalists on Project Runway. You’ll be getting to know more of her later on. Summing it all up, this evening was about getting to know the designers and models, as well as building up expectations of what we’ll be seeing the night of the fashion show.

Evening 2Glitz, Glamour, Fashion II at Neiman Marcus in International Plaza. A special evening due to the beneficiary of this event, PACE Center for girls. A not-for-profit corporation that provides a non-residential delinquency prevention program in locations statewide, targeting the unique needs of females 12 to 18 who are identified as dependent, truant, runaway, delinquent, or in need of academic skills. This is how we do it.  Another pair of special guests were Dexter Jackson who played football for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was voted MVP of the year when Yes! we won the Superbowl, accompanied by his fashionably, lovely wife. Dexter along with everyone else who attended were supporters of this organization and winners of some pretty amazing prizes. I myself got a fee spa gift card and a free shopping card, courtesy of Neiman Marcus. I can’t forget the models who showed off the gorgeous fall trends. Would you suppose there’s a flare for fashion in Tampa yet? I do.
