How to Bevel Fringe

Monday, January 16th, 2012

Sam Villa, Founding Partner of the Sam Villa® Brand and Education Artistic Director for Redken 5th Avenue, offers a quick and easy way to bevel fringe without using a blow dryer and brush.

Style by Sam Villa

“I’ve been using a flat iron and comb to bevel fringe, it’s fast and a simple technique that anyone can do. The trick is to never actually close the iron. When you close the iron you can get a crease, but the heat from the open iron is enough to alter the bonds and allow reformation,” explains Villa.

Beveled Fringe

·Pick up a fringe section and place the hair in the teeth of a fine tooth comb

·Horizontally place the Sam Villa SLEEKR® flat iron around the section at the base and slowly rotate the iron down and under without closing. Since the iron is round, the heated hair takes on the beveled shape.

It’s as simple as that.  To learn more about Sam Villa and to view a video of  how to bevel fringe,  visit: www.samvilla.com
