The active ingredients are combined in order to perform specific functions, called “factors”:

- EXTRA MOISTURIZING FACTOR

- EXTREME FLEXIBILITY FACTOR

- ANTI-RESIDUE FACTOR

- TEXTURE FACTOR

The formulas are parabens free and without colouring.

The latest and most fabulous product that the active crew will appreciate is the Hair Refresher.  http://www.davines.com/dispatch/_depot/product/de33df1e3a0e5dfa92040efc3c35e0a7.jpg?1384624021730%20=1384624021730

Its specific formulation is conceived to refresh and clean all hair types without using water. It does not weigt the hair down while creating a full-bodied volume. Hair is scented and soft like just-washed, thanks to the starch that absorbs the excess of sebum.

How to use:

Shake then spray onto dry hair at a distance of about 20 cm, paying attention to make short bursts. Leave on for about 1 minute and brush. In order to have more volume blow-dry with cold air.

“Beauty will save the world” At Davines, we believe this is possible; and we believe that our vision of sustainability can make it happen.

http://www.davines.com/dispatch/_depot/page_company_story/772x348/74fbdb89b639537a33cca044aa40dbb2.jpg

Our ideal of beauty finds its inspiration in the concept of equilibrium between substance and shape as well as in the Italian Renaissance tradition. Our style is a delicate convergence of unique characteristics and it’s inspired by simplicity, harmony and good taste. The beauty that we believe in is based on respect and appreciation for individuality. So we celebrate and express the grace and elegance that makes each of us who we are. This is why we consider ourselves as a tool for our customers to express their own uniqueness.

By creating “beauty” we want to encourage people to take care of themselves, of the environment in which they live and work, and of the things they love.

Our multicultural curiosity motivates us to explore the many truths that make our world. We strive to be in tune with the mood of the moment while still remaining fresh over time.

SUSTAINABILITY

Our particular brand of beauty cannot work without practical and “sustainable” efforts. For us, sustainability deals with the responsibility we owe to ourselves, the people with which we work, our customers, and the world in which we live and operate today and tomorrow. That said, our vision of “sustainability” has a range of connected meanings:

- “sustainability” in regard to our commitment to minimizing the impact on the environment, not compromising the quality or quantity of natural resources today or tomorrow.

- “sustainability” in regard to our privileged use of natural ingredients, enhanced with cutting-edge cosmetic technologies and an artisanal, handcrafted spirit. Through this approach we strive to guarantee the effectiveness of our products and the safety of our customers.

- “sustainability” in regard to “freedom of creation”. Our decisions are led more by “intuition” than “calculation” and by a pioneering spirit that guides us to avoid the mainstream and to explore ideas beyond trends. At Davines, every idea is born free and then developed with authenticity, in harmony with our values;

- “sustainability” in regard to “ethics”. The word “ethics” in ancient Greek means “house, shelter, lair”. Inspired by this definition and by the honor of being a family company, we make our professional environment feel more like a homely place where to develop oneself and create sincere relationships with others both in and outside the company, on a multicultural level.

In summarizing, “beautiful and good” – as the ancients referred to the inseparable unity between exterior and interior beauty – is another way to say “sustainable beauty”. And “sustainable beauty” is another way to say Davines.

Stylists have all sorts of tips and tricks up their sleeves…tips like HOW TO KEEP THAT COLOR THAT JUST COST $300! Patrick McIvor, Artistic and TechniCulture Director for Goldwell and KMS California Hair Care, uses Goldwell® Dualsenses® Color Lock Serum to prolong color retention for up to 22 shampoos!!

Color Lock Serum

“I find sealing color in directly after a color service with Dualsenses® Color Lock Serum is one of the best ways to prolong a vibrant hue,” says McIvor. Color Lock Serum is formulated with ColorChromaComplex to instantly lock in color after an application. It intensifies color brilliance keeping it vibrant and shiny for up to 22 washes. Whether it’s unnatural cartoon color, pale steel, street chic, sun-kissed buttery highlights, vibrant red, dipped ends, bombshell brunette or the deeper darker hues seen at The Golden Globes, when an investment is made in color (no matter how small or large) it should pay off! Check out McIvor’s Pinterest Boards for more color inspiration.

Other McIvor tricks include….

• Coloring hair one shade darker to offset fadage.

• Shampooing (with warm, not hot water) and conditioning every other day to minimize color deterioration.

• Using shampoos and conditioners with innovative formulates specifically for color-treated hair such as the FadeStop formula in the Goldwell® Dualsenses® Color Care line designed for unsurpassed color retention.

Celeb Alert | Sonja Tremont-Morgan’s RED HOT Hair by Angelo David Salon

Wednesday, August 15th, 2012

Real Housewives of New York star

 Sonja Tremont-Morgan

Ditches her blond locks and WIGGED it with a RED HOT look for one night

Sonja Tremont-Morgan

Sonja Tremont-Morgan of the Real Housewives of New York approached hair extension guru Angelo David of the Angelo David Salon for the GLAAD Awards, which were held on August 7, 2012, in hopes to do something different with her hair.

Angelo decided to do something high fashion, to make her stand out and went the red hair route to complement her skin tone and eye color. He used an Angelo David Couture Wig, made with 100% premium European hair, which was custom colored for her. Her hair was prepped for the wig by creating two separate ponytail sections then securing it with a wig cap in order to hold natural hair taut.

Once the wig was in place, he added contrast by pulling a small section of her fringe to create a signature highlight which worked perfectly with the red tone he created. Sonja’s hair was then sprayed with Angelo David Premier Volume spray before blow-drying with a large round brush. He then created subtle texture and waves using a medium sized curling iron nd and finished the look with light hairspray.

How to Bevel Fringe

Monday, January 16th, 2012

Sam Villa, Founding Partner of the Sam Villa® Brand and Education Artistic Director for Redken 5th Avenue, offers a quick and easy way to bevel fringe without using a blow dryer and brush.

Style by Sam Villa

“I’ve been using a flat iron and comb to bevel fringe, it’s fast and a simple technique that anyone can do. The trick is to never actually close the iron. When you close the iron you can get a crease, but the heat from the open iron is enough to alter the bonds and allow reformation,” explains Villa.

Beveled Fringe

·Pick up a fringe section and place the hair in the teeth of a fine tooth comb

·Horizontally place the Sam Villa SLEEKR® flat iron around the section at the base and slowly rotate the iron down and under without closing. Since the iron is round, the heated hair takes on the beveled shape.

It’s as simple as that.  To learn more about Sam Villa and to view a video of  how to bevel fringe,  visit: www.samvilla.com
